Trying to get away

I went to the forest because it seemed like that was the only place that I could get away. Then again I guess I could be alone just about anyway. It seemed like people were avoiding me for some reason. I don't mind though. It's good when people don't bother me.

"So, what are you doing out in the woods by yourself?" I asked Kendrix. I needed to get away from Blaise so I ran into the forest.

I sighed. So much for being alone. "I could ask you the same thing. I just needed to get away from the school for awhile."

"Same here, well more like away from my brother. It's been bloody annoying having him breathing down my neck all day." I said looking around the forest. I didn't know why everyone was terrified of it, it's only bad if you're unarmed.

"Maybe he just doesn't approve of what you are doing. He's watching out for his sister."

"I haven't been doing anything. And he's never cared much, so why start now?" I said.

"The minds of guys work in mysterious ways. We are going into dark times. Maybe he wants to make sure what side you are on." I said as I rubbed my arm.

"Well that's not his business, it's no one's but mine." I told her and sat down on the hard ground.

"Out of curiosity whose side are you on?"

I glared at her. "None of your business. I'd rather be on no side." I told her without an expression. I was trained to lie perfectly so she didn't have to know I chose a side.

"Then since you choose not to be on a side then you will probably be killed by either side." I smirked.

"Well then, I'll have to be ready for it." I told her smirking right back. At the moment I didn't care if I died or not, I only cared if he lived.

"You say that now, but you might change your mind when you are facing death in the eyes."
