Thinking things over

I sat in the courtyard as I played with my locket I was just given. It was a nice gift and I loved it and I love who gave it to me, but things were starting to get hard. I saw a couple walk by as they held hands. I sighed sadly since I will never be able to do that.

Ravyn was walking through the court yard, she had just received a letter, an unexpected one, she saw Pandora sitting there. She looked pretty sad, "Hey Pan, what's wrong?" she asked weakly.

I look at Ravyn. "Nothing I just..." I tightened my grip on my necklace. "I don't want to bother you with it."

"You wont be bothering me with anything," she said with a sad smile.

"It's about..." I look around to see if anyone was around. "My boyfriend. He gave me a locket earlier today. It just makes me sad that we have to keep our relationship a secret."

"I'm sorry, I personally would like the adventure or a secret relationship, but I know that it can get tiring because it's also nice to publicize it."

"Why would you want a secret relationship? Always sneaking out to see one another, stealing glances whenever you get a chance, have to be mean to one another in public, can't hold hands or kiss. I look at other couples and see how they cuddle together and I can't do that. It just makes me sad a little."

"Well, that's what I mean, I would like the adventure of sneaking around but the consequences it comes with I couldn't handle." if it was possible, Ravyn's face got an even sadder look on it. "I don't even think George and I are together any more."

"Did you two have a fight or something?"

"No, since all that has happened with Kendrix I haven't talked to him."

"Why not. Shouldn't he be there for you in a time like this?"

"I don't know, I just don't want to know what he thinks after he finds out who my parents are."

"If he truly loves you then it won't matter to him. If he doesn't want to see you just because of that then he isn't the one for you. I'm sure George will stay with you though." I smile.

"How could he? I'm the daughter of the Lestrange's! Who would love one of them?"

"It doesn't matter who your parents are. It matters who you are and what you do with your life. You shouldn't judge someone by their parentage."

"Well, then in that case he still wont want to be with me," she muttered hoping Pandora didn't hear her.

"Why is that?"

"That's something I'm not ready to talk about!" she said sadly.

"That's because you are such a lousy friend." I said to Pandora as I walked u to them. "Ravyn doesn't trust you."

"I don't trust any one with it! It's a surprise I even told you!"

"That because you think everyone will cast you out. You can't stand the thought that if you tell people will think less of you. You just want to be accepted. What a stupid thing."

"Um...should I leave?"

"I'm not proud of the fact that I have it like you are!" she looked at Pandora, "No!"

I looked between the two very confused. That happens to me a lot.

"Who said I was proud?" I mumbled. "You do know that people will find out sooner or later. What then? You can't keep it a secret forever."
